Deleting All Sample Agents the Recreating

Postby cg180759 » Tue Aug 26, 2014 12:58 pm

Is it a good idea to delete then recreate all the current agents (save the admin) in the system? They follow a default pattern and I'm trying to lock down my system as much as possible before going live and doing test calls. I'm thinking of deleting all the agents (1000-1010) and then creating agents as and when they are needed. Right now I just need two, and don't want to open myself up to any hacking attempts.

Please advise. Thank you!

If you disable them they are not going to be active. But the best thing to do is 1) to have a good firewall such as pfSense, and 2) use good passwords. Then configure the F/W to only allow inbound traffic from your carrier(s). You should not allow external connections unless your agents are remote in which case you should only allow the known IP's. Of course you can always simply disable the agents you don't use.
