"HTTPS" SSL connection to osdial web interface

Postby fsanchez » Mon Apr 25, 2011 10:07 am

Does anybody know how to do this?? I was looking for an ssl module in httpd but could not find it and it is of extreme importance for anyone to create a secure connection to the dialer. I would appreciate any help. Thank you

SSL can be turned on fairly easily, ie set SSLProtocol all. It would require you to create a private/public key pairing and server key. IMO it is pretty worthless without a CA (Certificate Authority) to sign your server key against, as the authenticity of the connection cannot be properly validated by each peer.

For further information on SSL, including an introduction and howtos, see the Apache doc site for SSL:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/ssl/
