I'm afraid that currently, besides from using the inline help, your best bet is to buy training.

One of my friend who is working also needs some documentations about Broadcast dialing with IVR anual. This one can help him to find some solutions in their Interactive Voice Response system.

This is simple.
Create a dedicated campaign for the IVR dialing.
Modify the campaign and select the In/Out IVR option.
Setup your IVR menu.
Add a number of Virtual Agents (basically a limit on the number of handled IVRs) and a couple of reserve agents to handle any overflow.
Add leads to the campaign.
Run in ADAPT_AVERAGE mode with a max dial level of about 1.5 - 2.
Thats it...

Note: The options/keypresses you setup may require addition setup elsewhere. Ie if you want to transfer to an InGroup when 1 is presses, you will first need to create that InGroup and assign it to appropriate campaigns and agents.

Does IVR operation needs changing 'Campaign OSDial exten' option?
By default it 8365, but when using it after calling I heard nothing and disconnected after few seconds.

No, but you may want to watch the Asterisk console or look at your /var/log/asterisk/messages file. Asterisk needs a specific format for its wav files.

To correct/convert the files, use the following command:
Code: Select all
sox foo-in.wav -r 8000 -c 1 -s -w foo-out.wav resample -ql

Thank you for replying. I have fixed that problem, it was caused by way I have tested this feature. Feature works as expected, except I have experienced delay after used disconnected from IVR and virtual agent goes available for next call. But it can be 'fixed' by increasing number of virtual agents.

I tried the setup for the IVR, and added myself as a lead. The dialer called me but when I answered it hung up on me instantly and coded the call as a Drop... My drop in the IVR is 30 seconds with a dial timeout of 23 seconds... why would it do that instead of playing the wav file?

Is this correct?

Can you post the output of the Asterisk console for that call?

The format for a WAV file must be RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16 bit, mono 8000 Hz in order for Asterisk to read it.
