Dialing Sequence

Postby wancasil » Mon May 24, 2010 1:44 pm

It would be very nice if we could have the following feature:

1 - Stablishing a sequence within which system would change the number to dial in order to maximize contact rate
2 - After going through all attempts setup for a single dialing number, system would change the dialing number to the second field administrator had setup
3 - After going through all attempts setup for the 2nd dialing number, system would change the dialing number to the third field administrator had setup

Ex.:
Lead 1 has 3 telephone numbers: A is business, B is home and C is mobile.
We set system to dial in the following sequence: A, B, C.

System starts dialing telephone A and reaches maximum attempts after X 'no answer detections' or Y 'busy signals' or a Bad Number detection.
Immediately, system changes the dialing number of that record to the second field and starts dialing phone B.
If, once again, we detect 'Answer Machines' only or the number is not valid, system would change to phone C.

After dialing phone C, we could recycle the dialing rule so that system would start over from A or would redefine which number to start.

An interesting idea...A three tiered Lead Recycling. That would shift the given number until each had exceeded the recycle rules. You should contact them (CCSG) and see what kind of a rate you would get.

There does exists a similar function, auto-alt-dialing, in which subsequent numbers are attempted in the event of the first number failing.

First, load your leads with phone# A in the phone_number field, phone# Bin the alt_phone field, and phone# C in the address3 field.

In the Detail view of the campaign, set Alt Number Dialing to Y. And then set Auto Alt Number Dialing to ALT_AND_ADDR3. Then you need to setup the rules to use the alternate numbers (ie dispositions that trigger the system to try the next number). This is done by select the Auto Alt Dial menu for the campaign. A good starting point might be using the statuses: B, NA, DC. Then possibly adding, N, A, AA, AL, AM.

I think it would be also very useful if a list is automatically re-churned and all numbers that haven't been contacted are called back. For example, all numbers that were disposed as Voicemail, No Answer, Busy, Congestion, etc. can be called back.

Currently, the way I do it is by exporting all these dispositions to a new CSV and then re-uploading this new CSV into a new list. This process is very cumbersome and messes up the list page.

@sentm

I can see there's an Additional Fields form called Alternate Phone Numbers with several fields named like Alt Phone X. Is this a working feature? Does the system dial all alternate numbers listed in this form?

Yes, the alternate (10) phone numbers can be loaded with the leads and there is an option under the campaign to use these under the "Auto Alt-Number Dialing" called "ALT_ADDR3_AND_AFFAP".

There has also been a slight change in the logic...

Previously, if an alternate phone number was in position 3 and position 2 was blank, the routine would not continue with alternate phone numbers:
1. 321-555-1110
2. blank
3. 321-555-1114
If 1 was called and a NA, then it would look at number 2 and think there were no more alternate numbers for the lead and move on to the next lead.

Now, given the following scenario:
1. 321-555-1110
2. blank
3. 321-555-1114
4. 321-555-1116
5. blank
6. 321-555-1119
The system would simply skip the blank entries and continue on to the other listed numbers as expected...
