Additional Forms Scroll Bars

Postby nscottbrown » Mon Jul 20, 2015 3:12 pm

I've created a form to use in the agent interface and the text fields run off the side of the frame that contains the form fields How do I get a scroll bar to appear there so the agent can scroll left and right? The system seems to automatically put an up and down scroll bar there.

If I got you right you are saying the field name is too long to fit. Unfortunately, there is no scroll bar prepared for you to use. You would need to alter the code.

Yes the text box that is after the field name is longer then the box that appears there. Is there a way to attach a graphic to this forum? If so I can give you a screenshot of my form.

A picture will not move us towards a solution as I don't have one here. Someone else might chime in but otherwise you would need to find someone who can help. Certainly you can pay to have it done if you are not a programmer. I'm afraid your only other option is to put less text in the field name.

I'd like to post a picture so that everyone can see what I'm talking about and someone else might be able to offer a solution. I understand that you don't have a solution, but like you said someone else might be able to chime in. Does this forum allow us to post pictures?

Display images inline is set to 100x100px. Your description worked well for me.

Ok, well I think I figured out a solution. In \opt\osidial\html\agent\osdial.php the overflow-x parameter was set to hidden. I set those to auto and now a horizontal scroll bar now appears. This was done on Lines 3108 and 3068. Both the email forms and the regular forms.

Hope this solution helps someone else in the future.

Good job! Just remember that when you update next you will loose the change, and need to reapply if it's not a built-in option.
